Public & Highlands Council Member Comments & Responses from the January 2012 meeting link. The members visited the site of destruction in Vernon & West Milford. (2/6/12, last page of following document) I was not happy to read the following but it addresses all of our (the public) and the Highland Council members questions & concerns
about the continued expansion of the gas pipeline through 4 additional environmentally sensitive state park lands. GO AROUND THE PARKS!

Their site visit will be discussed at the meeting tomorrow. Thursday, Feb., 16, 2012 4:00PM. – See you there.

N.J. Highlands Council delays decision on extending gas pipeline into Mahwah

Please attend the NJ Highlands Council meeting February 16, 2012 at 4pm.  The many activists and concerned citizens in attendance at the January 19th meeting convinced the council to call a one month moratorium. During the public comment period I asked if any council member had visited the site at Wawayanda. Not one. They were supposed to visit this past month. Although their final decision does not supersede FERC they can advise that this is a bad idea. Please show your support and attend or at least call, write and email. Meeting info;

NJ Sierra Club Presentation to TN Gas Pipeline Expansion

This video shot at a public meeting in Trenton, NJ, 9/7/2011 at the convenient time of 4:00 pm. My photos of the current devastation (April-August 2011) at Wawayanda State Park have been inserted to show what can be expected if permits are granted for High Point, Long Pond Iron Works, Ringwood, and Ramapo Mountain State Parks.

A decision to grant additional permits is expected in December 2011. Present your comments to the State of NJ at this link:
